The hilite of my assignment to Misawa Air Base Japan was the weekend trips to Towada Hachimantai National Park. Most of the time was spent at Lake Towada, perhaps one of the most beautiful places on earth. These are my pictures which show the lake, surrounding area and mountain.

We drove to Lake Towada in my 1969 Honda Minicar, 360 bike engine, chain
driven. It would get up to 50mph with 4 people in it. One person could pick up
a rear corner of this car. In the United States they were sold as a Honda 600.
