The Gorder's

Ora Hummer (1-4-1886 Iowa to 3-1882 Seattle, WA) was my great grandmother Ruby (Hummer) Little's sister. She was married to Paul Gorder and lived in Frederick, South Dakota in the early part of the 1900's. We know very little about Paul Gorder and his family except that he was a blacksmith and apparently died before 1933. They had no children. We ass-u-me that the other Gorder's in the pictures are Paul's brothers and sisters.

HERE is a page that I found that shows the confirmation of a Paul Gorder in a South Dakota Lutheran church in 1893. This may or may not be our Paul Gorder. The time and place seems to fit. It's just one more puzzle piece to consider.

HERE it lists Paul Gorder as a blacksmith in 1909 in Frederick, SD. And HERE it shows him still as a blacksmith in 1916.
