Breakfast Quiche
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
ingredients:
1 uncooked 9 inch deep dish pie crust
1/2 package frozen seasoning blend (frozen chopped onion, green & red peppers, celery and parsley)
1 package your favorite ground breakfast sausage
1 cup milk
4 large eggs
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (I prefer sharp)
salt and pepper
How to:
Thoroughly cook breakfast sausage in pan with frozen seasoning blend until sausage is done. Drain.
In small bowl, mix eggs and milk, add salt and pepper.
Put uncooked pie shell on to a cookie sheet with edges in case of boil over. May want to cover the cookie sheet with
aluminum foil.
Layer cheese, then add sausage mixture in uncooked pie shell. Slowly pour eggs/milk over sausage and cheese. It will
be very full. (You may actually have some egg/milk mixture left over - try and use as much as you can).
Put pan into preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes until edges are brown and a clean knife inserted into middle comes out clean.
(There may be some grease from the sausage on the knife but there should not be any egg.)
